Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This policy covers the Islet app for Windows and this website. Islet is made by Gopinath.
The Islet app
Islet has no account, no analytics and no tracking. Its data stays on your PC, and none of it is sent to us. That includes settings, notifications, agent activity, clipboard history and shelf file paths.
Clipboard history is kept in memory only and never written to disk. The agent hook server listens on your PC only (127.0.0.1).
The installed app checks GitHub for updates and downloads them from there. GitHub receives your IP address when it does, and this check can't be turned off. Otherwise, the app only goes online for these optional features:
- Lyrics: sends the song title and artist to lrclib.net.
- Weather: sends the city you enter to Open-Meteo.
- Calendar: downloads the calendar link you enter from its provider.
- Spotify: connects to Spotify if you choose to connect your account.
Those services have their own privacy policies.
This website
"I'm interested" button: when you click it, we store a one-way hash of your IP address so each network counts once. We don't store the IP address itself or use the hash to identify you. Hashes are kept until the launch count is no longer needed.
Hosting: the site runs on Netlify, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the site and limit abuse.
Fonts: pages may load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
This site doesn't set advertising cookies or use analytics.
Your choices
You can turn off each optional online feature in the app's settings, and uninstalling removes the app. You can also use the site without clicking the button.
We can't match a stored hash to you without knowing your IP address. To ask about your data, include the IP address you used.
Changes and contact
We'll update this page and its date if this policy changes. For questions, open an issue on GitHub.
